I have learned many kinds of jigsaw activities by textbooks, but I did not try to use them in my classroom. The activity that Jeff introduced, Acquaintance jigsaw, can be a good, exciting activity to my students.
My students came from three different elementary schools, and they were already familiar with one another before they entered middle school. So, it is less authentic to ask them to do this kind of acquaintance activity. How can I adapt this activity to those who are already familiar?
The second problem is that my students do not have a variety of topics to talk with. On Monday class, if I ask them, "How was your weekend?", most of them answer, "I played computer games." or "I went to 학원." In this situation, how can I make students keep talking?
